Mourea eommenced the game with plenty of dash and for a time pressed strongly and had the Shamrock hacks defenuing strenuously. Several good openings within striking- distance of the goal were however spoilt by oifside play by a Mourea forward. Improved combination by Shamrocks, however, soon resuited in the venue of play being changed to the Mourea twenty-live, and several anxious moments were given the defending backs by the green and white ioxwaxds, but the attempts at goal shooting weie inaccurate, and no advantago was gained by Shamroeks. Awother promising attaclc by Mourea was again spoilt by off-side, and Mrs. George was unlucky in losing possession after another. Shamroeks' Goal. Returning to the attack Sham- ' rocks worked play into the Mourea circle where T. Mitchell found the net with a shot which trickled past a group of Mourea defenders. No further score was registered at half- , time, the strenuous efforts of Mourea having been resultless. Early in the second spell Mourea again had the advantage in play, and for some time their chances of equalising* the score looked bright, but the Shamrock backs were playing a safe game and repeatedly averted the danger. R. Ipu got away in a spirited dash but was stopped in the niclc of time. Penaliy Goal.
