UNFORTUNATE ACCIDENT WHILE CUTTING WOOD SERIOUS ASSAULT CHARGE

Mr. H. Fisher, of Opotiki, was the victim of an unfortunate accident at Ohiwa on Thursday afternoon. He was cutting ti-tree for firewood i in company with Mr. L. Horne, of j Opotiki. Mr. Fisher was holding j some of thd ti-tree when the axe I slipped and struck him ipi the right forearm inflicting a nasty wound just below the elbow. He was at once conveyed to Opotiki, where Dr. Candy examined the wound and inserted several stitches.
