The qualification for membership of the Town Planning Institute was discussed at Wednesday evening's meeting of the Rotorua Borough Council. Cr. Urquhart thought that a prof essional man such as a surveyor should be 'the right man. The Mayor said that this was not necessary, since other bodies who did not perhaps have any professional members were represented. Cr. 'E. T. Johnson's view was that the Mayor had the interests of the town at heart and was the most suitable representative. The Mayor was nominated and in turn nominated Cr, H. Tai Mitchell, who refused to stand. Cautious !
