GANE CARRINGTON HAS GOOD PROSPECTS FOR A.J.C. DERBY

-By Telegraph — Copyrlght).

Rec. Sept. 14, 7.55 p.m. Sydney, Sep. 14. The New Zealand gelding, Cylinder, is a very doubtful aspirant for the Derby, owing to an injured foreleg, which is considerably swollen. Sunny Sky is returning liome shortly. Silver Ring appears to have recovored. His soreness disappeared when he started on the grass track, and he is galloping strongly and convincingly. Peter Jackson is also doing well. Gane Carrington, owing to his victory on Monday, is regarded as having a mortgage on the A.J.C. Derby, and is also expected to do well in Melbourne.
