The Government meteoroloflist Issued the following weather repwrt and forecast last niffbt: — General situation: Pressure is still high over New Zealand, but an irregular shallow depressio'n covers the Tasman Sea. Forecast: Winds, moderate to strong north-easterlies to northerlies reach- • ing gale force in the far nort'h. Weather: Still fair in most districts with mild temperatures, but'scattered rain likely in the Auckland province and in the western and southern portions of the South Island. Foilowing are the barometer, maximum and minimum thermometer, sunshine, and rainfall readings recorded at the Government Observation Sta- _ tion by the Rotorua Tourist Department for the 24 hours ended at 9.30 a.m. yesterday.
