"GROSS INJUSTICE"
(Press. Assn.-
DUNEDIN INDIGNATION
— By Telegrr-.ph — Cecy.rlght).
Dunedin, Monday. At a conference of local bodies surrounding Dunedin the Unemployment Board's new scheme for country districts was characterised as a gross injustice. It was stated by Mr. Munro, M.P., that the board's harassing regulations were making absolute Bolshevists of the men. A resolution of protest against the scheme propounded in Circular 159 was passed, with a request that workers in the boroughs and counties adjoining the city be on the same schedule as city unemployed; also protesting against debarring seasonal workers from obtaining relief work, the suggestion being that local committees have diseretion to deal with individual cases.
