FOUND DROWNED WHEN RETURNING FROM AUCKLAND

Wellington, Tuesday. Tho inquest concluded to-day regarding the. death of Miss Clare Kathleen Moore, aged about 50, of Dunedin, whose body was found on the beaeh at Karaka Bay on July 28. The coronet* said there was no doubt that Miss Moore was worried when she returned to Wellington from Auckland. There was no evidence to show how she came to be in the water, and he would have to return an open verdict. The coronet' complimented the police on their work in establishing the identity of the body. They had had a very difficult task, and he expressed appreeiation of the way identity had been established. Miss Moore belonged to Dunedin, and had been spending a holiday at Auckland. She was on her way back to Dunedin at the time of her death.
