WELL-KNGWN MEN CHARGED

Sydney, Sept. 5. Three well-known city men, W. J. Curtis (King's Counsel), Hugh D. Mclntosh and E. Covell, were charged on the information of A. J. Parsons (liquidator of the Rickards, Tivoli theatres) with having while directors of the Tivoli Company misapplied a cheqne of £13,570, also with conspiring to deal fraudulently with the theatre property. Counsel for the defence said complete answers could be given on all matters mentioned. The hearing was adjourned till Septemher 19, in order thai certain information can he afforded the defence.
