B. H. PALMER SUCCUMBS TO INJURIES RECEIVED ON SATURDAY BUTLER ALSO INJURED

Auckland, Saturday. During the senior Rugby football match between Otahuhu and 'Vai-sity on ihe Showgrounds this afternoon, B. Palmer (Otahuhu), 1S32 All Black, and Victo.r Butler ('Varsity) an ex-AH Black, received severe skull injuries. Paliner's injury is particularly serious, and it tvas stated by the hospital authorities this evening that his condition is critical. He has a decompressed fraeture of the skull as the result of a colli- - sion when he eharged a University player as the latter kicked the ball.
