OBITUARY

The death occurred in the Whakatane Hospital on Friday xxxorning of Mr. Alan McDonald, a highly respected resident of the district. Mr. McDonald was very well known in the Waikato -district. Prior to the introduction of the motor car, he was one of the principals of the firxxx Dalgleesh and McDonald, livex'y stable pToprietors, of Haxnilton. He later took up land at Manawahe. Mr. McDonald's health has beexx failing for soxne tixxxe and about a week ago he contracted a chill which x'esulted in pneumonia to which he succumbed. The internxent took place iix the Whakatane eemetex'y on Sunday aftex-noon at 2 p.ixx.
