Rec. Sept. 1, 9.25 p.m. Sydney, eptember 1. At the wool sale, 9438 bales were offered, and 8885 were sold; in addition, 5534 were disposed of privately, under very keen general competition. The hardening tendency of tho opening sale was maintained, all descriptions selling at the best rate of the week. Greasy merino sold at 16d.
