The following is the report on our Spring Horse Saies: — During the week we held our annual spring horse saies at Whakatane and Te Puke. Horses were yarded in advertised numbers and a very satisfactory clearanee resulted. Prices realised were: — Best quality, young, broken draughts, £30 to £40; others, £25 to £28; 3- and 4-year unbroken draughts £25 to £31; lighter draughts, £18 10s to £22 10s; light broken draughts, £17 10s to £22; harness horses, £12 10s to £15; hacks and ponies, £4 5s to £8.
