— By Telegraph— Copyright).
Rec. Aug/ 30, 5 p.m. Berlin, August 29. Before departing f or Neudeck for their historie interview with Marshal Hindenburg, the President, Herr von Papen and General Schleicher met Herr Hitler at lunch and discussed the political situation, shOwing that even the extreme incivility of Herr Hitler's recent references to -the Chancellor has not destroyed all the bridges. The meeting, however, left the parties of the same opinion. Herr von Papen reportedly closed the discussions. informing Herr Hitler that it was too late to consider his proposals, which is interpreted to mean that the door is closed to the prospects of Hitler participating in the Government. Herr von Papen is still 'expected to request the President's authority to dissolve the 'Reichstag.
