IMMEDIATE ANSWER TO MORNING POST'S APPEAL There was an instant response t the appeal made in the "Mornini Post" yesterday for clothing for six-weeks-old baby. The paper wa barely dry from the press when tele phones hegan to ring and when tn office opened yesterday morning, friend was waiting on the doorste with a parcel of warm clothing f° the child. During the morning and afternoo charitably inclined people came i or telephoned. and the result that last evening th© "Morning was able to hand over five parce of clothing and the sum of £2 9s C to the trustees of the relief woi'kei fund for the particular case referr to. It may be mentioned that the cai was thoroughly investigated by / sponsible people before any public tion of it was made and the fac thoroughly checked. Those who gave donations incln the following, but in every case al quest was made that no public1 should be given to the donors:' Clothing, Mrs. A., Mrs. B., H.M.1 H.F., Mrs. H. (visitor), Mrs. V,. E.C., 2/6; M.F., 10/-; F.N., 10j H.C., 21/-; X.. 5/-. It is quite evident that Rotoi can, and will, rlse to the occasion.
