ROTORUA MEN'S AND LADIES TEAMS PLAY AT TAURANGA Teams from the Rotorua Golf Club paid a friendly visit to Tauranga during the week-end and spent a very pleasant time. The links were in good order and some keen games resulted the Tauranga teams winning 8 matehes to Rotorua's 5, one finishing all square. The captain of the Tauranga Club \ elcomed the visitors in traditional style, Rotorua's skipper, Mr. E. La Trobe Hill, mak.ng appropriate resp'onsa. Details of the men's matches ara as follow, Tauranga names mentioned first: — Morning Round Matheson and Bradmore beat Smith and Pott 3 and 2. Davies and Phelan lost to Spedding and Barker, 1 down. Corrigan and Snodgrass beat La Trobe Hill and Herrick, 3 and 1. Bryan and Roche beat C. E. Kusabs and Kelly, 1 up. Goulding and Tovey beat Fenton and French, 5 and 3. Simmonds and Bridger lost to W. Kusabs and P. A. Kusabs, 2 down. Hamilton and Hay beat Walden and Hamilton, 2 and 1. Afterncon Round Davies and Bradmore beat Smith and Pott, 3 and 2. Matheson and Fell beat Spedding and Barker, 2 and 1. Goulding and • Phelan lost to La Trobe Hill and Herrick, 3 and 2. Bryan and Tovey beat C. E. Kusabs and Kelly. 3 and 2. Rotorua 5 matches. All square, 1 match. Ladies' Matches The members of the Rotorua Ladies' team spent a most enjoyable day and were most hospitably entertained by Tauranga. At the conclusion of the day's play Mr. Paterson, president of the Tauranga Club welcomied the Rotorua visitors and expressed the hope that the match would become an annual fixture. Mr. E. La Trobe Hill, captain of the Rotorua team, returned thanks and his remarks were warmly endorsed by Miss Snodgrass on behalf of the visiting ladies. The results of the ladies' matches were as follow, Tauranga names mentioned first. The Rotorua ladies were all square in the foursomes in the morning and two down in the singles in the afternoon.
