PILOTS AGE LIMIT
ANNUAL EXAMINATION SUFFICES It has been decided that no age limit will be enforeed for pilots of air liners. It has been proposed that there should be recognised by the international authox'ities represented at the 20th session of the International Commission for Air Navigation an age limit applicable to all pilots on the recognised airways. The prop'osal was turned down hy the representatives of 26 States including Great Britain. Many of the most skilled air line pilots of to-day have heen flying without a break since pre-war days. Eaclx year they have to undergo a stringent examination for physical fitness, and it is held that this exaxnination is xxxore effective in weeding out pilost who have become constitutionally . incapable of und'ertaking the responsibility of an air liner's safety than any arhitrary age limit.
