STUD BULLS
GISBORNE FARMER PURCHASES FINE CANADIAN STOCK. I Two valuable Aberdeen-Angus bulls j are on their way to New Zealand to the order of Mr. W. Clark, of Opou, Manutuke. They were purchased in \ Canada and should prove important additions to the stud stock of the Poverty Bay district. One of the animals is the two-year-old bull Erica, son of Earl Erie Glen1 carnock, from the herd of the Hon. James D. McGregor, Brandon, Manitoba. This bull, which weighs 17501b, was second in his class at the provin- j cial exhibition at Brandon. | The other animal, a calf, is Blackbird, son of Black Marshall H, hred by Mr Harry Lsader, Portage, La Prairie, Manitoba The calf was first prize senior and junioi', and also reserve grand champion hull at the Manitoba Provincial Exhibition Shipment was made from Vancouver on July 16 by the Golden Eagle, , and the animals are due at Wellington at the end of the month After the quarantine period of 60 days they will be dispatched to Gisborne A great deal of interest has been displayed overseas in this purchase, which is referred to in the Canadian National Farm Magazine
