O.M.P. DRAWS WITH THE REST IN DULL GAME Rugby matches on Saturday were not very interesting. In the junior match, O.M.P. versus The Rest, the play was quite uneventful until Hunia managed to scor.e for O.M.P. The kick had to be taken fron^ the side and failed, making O.M.P. 3, The Rest 0. Soon after Gee broke through and scored and Carruthers succeeded in adding the extra points to make the score, O.M.P. 9, the Rest 5. v This try appeared to encourage the Rest and they attacked with vigoui', Carruthers lcicking a good goal to bring the scores level — 9 alj. O.M.P. v. High School High School kicked off, but a scrum was soon ordered. O.M.P. hooked the ball and forced their way to the High | School line, but the ball went out of play before they could score. From the throw-in, the High School forwards took possession and play went quickly up-field. However, O.M.P. secured the ball and returned it to the High School quarter where : the leather passed into Edward's pos- ' session. He took it safely over the ; line, but Blaclc missed the kick, the scoi-e remaining, O.M.P. 3, High School nil. O.M.P. forced the play hard from the kick, and Brown was soon across the line, hut Black failed to add points with the kick and the score at half-time was, O.M.P. 6, High School nil. 5?h'U Early in the second half, Clay secured possession and led a forward rush into the O.M.P. quarter for T. Hickey to cross the line and score for High School. Webb took the kick, but missed. O.M.P. 6, High School, 3. j Immediately on the resumption of play, O.M.P. pressed hard and Temple j scored in the corner, Edwards failing I with the kick.
