FRYER AND TALLIS TO MEET IN CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL
SEMI-FINALS COMPLETED MURRAY AND NAPIER FINALISTS «N THERMAL CUP To-day will see ihe finals of both the Rotorua open championsiiip anj 'Ihermai Cup competition concluded. Play in the Rotorua Club's tourney yesterclay, concluded the semifinals In both sections, and this morning F. Fryer (Napier) and G. Tallis (Auckland) will fight out the championship, and L. F. Murray (Titirangi) and G. Napier (Whakatane), the final of the Thermal Ci|p. The former pair will hit off at 9.80 a.m. and the Thermal Cup finalists at 9.20 a.m. In the championship semi-finals yesterday, Tallis beat J. Goss, of Wanganui, who has on several occasions held the championship cup, and Fryer beat the young Manawatu player, A. H. Wiliiams. Gnce again a high standard of play was set in the majority of the matches, and the increasing interest was reflected in the larger gallory.

York beat Hnssey, 1 up. Napier beuc Lcnsson, 4 and 3. Semi-Fiuals Murray ot-at Coltman, 3 and 2. G. Napier beat J. York, 1 up at 20th.
