DENTAL CLIINIC

SUCCESSFUL CHILDREN'S DANCE MATERIALLY HELPS FUNDS LARGE ATTENDANCE On Friday evening a children's dance was held in aid of ithe Opotiki Dental Clinic. There was a large attendance of parents and children. The Lyric Hall was brightly decorated in eoloured flags, lights and streamers. The supper was arranged by some of the wives of the school committee. Mrs. L. Fox also helped a great deal towards making the evening a success. Three Monte Carlo dances were won by Miss A. Johnstone and Mr. W. Neal, Misses S. Andrews and I. Leslie, Misses V. Gordon and M. Stevens. The High School pupils contributed graceful old fashioned folk dances, whilst the smaller children danesd the Polonaise. Mr. Kibblewhite (headmaster) spoke a few words of weleome to th'e parents and said it was his intention to hold another similar dance later on in the year. Mr. W. Burrett (chairman of the school committee) also made a brief speech in which he thanked the parents for turning out in such large number s Amqngst the children present were: Misses N. Kidd, M.
