ENGLAND'S CLOSE CALL
Auckland, Saturday. By snatching a try right on the. call of time, the English League team . preserved its unbeaten record by defeating New Zealand by 20 points to 18 at Carlaw Park to-day. The game was hard fought and seldom brilliant but the Englishmen wore better than their opponents.
