AIRMAN EXHAUSTED

-By Telegraph — Copyright) .

St. John, August 19. Mollison landed in a large field without difficulty. "I passed Harbour Grace and Halifax this morning, and went over St. John, hoping to reach New York, but when I reached Penfield Ridge I was so tired I simply could not go on." Mollison said that through the night he flew through clouds and heavy mist. The weather conditions during the last 18 hours were very unfavourable. Mollison covered approximately 2700 miles in 30 hours 10 minutes. At a nearby farmhouse he requested that his wife be notified of his safe arrival. Mollison is rosting at Pennfield Ridge, preparatory to resuming his flight to New York. He stated he would start on his return flight to Croydon after a few days' rest at New York.
