Bowling Cluja Qfficers Nomination for the election of officers of the Rotorua Bowling Club for the coming season will close with the secretary (Mr. J. W. Webber) at 5 p.m. on Wednesday next, August 24. The annual general meeting of the club will be held on the following Wednesday, August 31. Collision at Te Whaiti When negotiating a sharp corner on the Te Whaiti Road on Friday a delivery van belonging to Mr. C. WPaton, hutcher, of Murupara, collided with a truck owned by a Mr. Ran■dall, and tlle van was extensively damaged. Fortunately neither driver suffered injury, although the driver of the van had a narrow escape. Very little damage was occasioned to the truck.
