PUBLIC APPEAL
FUNDS NEEDED TO HELP DISTRESSED FAMIL1ES IN ROTORUA SUBSCRIPTION LIST OPENED Rotorua, unlike other centres of population, has no source of definite eharitable aid for the assistance of che families of relief workers in dis~ tressed c'rcumstances. As a result incessant appeals are being made to he public fo" help. To obviate this continual drain upon charitably nvnded persons the Rotorua Relief Workers' Association has decided to make an effort to establish a fund from which worthy and necessitous cases can be helped. The sick, aceident and benevolent committee of the association has therefore is&ued an cippeal for contributions. The trustees are the Mayol-, Mr. T. Jackson; the town eleik, Mr. W. A. McLean; and Mr. J. Walker, with Mr. J. Oids, as treasurer. Mr. A. Liston Wilson, of Auckland, has headed the subscription list with £10. A subseription list is open at the Morning Post office and donations will be aclcnowledged.
