LARGER ALLOCATION PROBABLE FOR ROTORUA
The secretary of the Rotorua branch of the New Zealand Returned Soldiers' Association, Mr. J. D. A/ Painton has received advice from the Dominion secretary that the New Zealand Council is expected to meet this week to consider the allocation of the extra amount of £3000 ob-; tained from the Canteen Fund for the relief of unemployment. The; Dominion secretary stated that it was anticipated that the grants to: Rotorua would be considerably increased.
