DANCE AT BRENTS
AUCKLAND TRAINING COLLEGE. Brent's balh-oom presented a gay spectacle last Friday evening when the visiting players of the Auckland Training College Basketball team were the guests of the Rotorua Basketball Association. The room was just comfortably filled and Epi Shalf on's Meiody Boys Orchestra lent such lif e to the dances that timo passed on winged feet. A delicous supper was served tp the guests ' in the supper room and fol- ; lowing this, Mr. E. G. Guy, on behalf of the Basketball Association officially welcomed the visitors and wished them an enjoyable game and an equally enjoyable trip. He hopeci that they would leave Rotorua regretfully and return on the first possible ocassion. Mr. Guy also thanlced the Manager of Brent's Ltd., Mr. Hutton, for his courtesy and generosity in making the Ballroom available for the function. The captain of Training College, Miss Hunt, suitably responded and a hearty round of applause was given for the visitors. Among the dancers present were: Mrs. T. Kelly, who wore black lace; Mrs. E. Maxwell (Auckland), sea green georgette; Miss N. Jacobs (Auckland), apple green lace; Miss D. Crouch (Auckland), lemon georgette and ring velvet; Miss E. Hunt (Auckland), parchment net; Miss D. Davies, daffodil georgette; Miss B. Newmarch, powder blue floral georgette; Miss B. Vaughan, black and white spotted georgette; Miss J. Isdale, venetian , blue georgette and net; Miss R. Steele, lemon floral taffeta; Miss E. Hardie, pompadour pink georgette; Miss E. Rushton, apricot georgette; Miss H. ' Dawson, black lace; Miss M. Ford, I flame satin; Miss K. Kingon, black | satin; Miss F. Bates, rose georgette; I Miss E. Clarke, lilac georgette and gold lissue; Miss K. Constant, apple green ninon; Miss I. Anderson, flame georgette; Miss B.
