OLD PUPILS' BALL

A GALA EVENING ! The O.D.H.S. old pupils held their ; annual ball in the Lyrie Hall on Mon- ; day evening. I The hall was elaborately and art- ; isticaffy decorated in pungas and ; nikaus with a canopy of coloured ; streamers hung from the roof. From the large nikau in the centre of the i hall, fairy lights were strung, cast- ; ing a soft glow around the room. A sitdown supper was provided in ! tlie supper hall which was similarly decorated for the occasion. The tables were done in peach blossom and i snowdrops. The Semla Orehestra, which supplieci the muslc, was at its best and dancing was carried on till one o'clock. Misses B. Ensoll and II. Hambly played the two extras.
