Sydney, August 17. I connection with the arrest of the Chinese for allegedly uttering counterfeit coins, the detectives engaged in investigations are convinced that bogus coins have been coming from Hongkong for years. They are such excellent replicas of the genuine that even the hankers found it difficult to fault them. The reeent' assays disclosed that shillings are 3 rer cent. deficient in silver. Counterfeits were usually mixed with genuine when deposited at the banks.
