TIMARU, Monday. Mabel Edna Roherts, aged 19 years, single, daughter of Mr. T. Roberts, went bathing in Caroline Bay at 10.30 this morning. Her father, anxious on account of her health, followed, but was unahle to find her. He found her clothes on the. beach. Half-an-hour later he notieed her swimming half a mile out. , A fishing hoat went to the rescue and picked her up alive, hut death ensued, due, states the medical opinion, to exhaustion from the cold.
