POINT VICTORY ROTORUA REPRESENTATIVES BEATEN BY PUTARURU SIDfe INTERESTING GAME The Rotorua senior representatives journeyed to Putaruru and were defeated by a Putaruru fifteen who reversed the decislon of the Peace Cup eliihination match learlier in the s :ason to win 17-16. The game provided sdme interesting football, and although the score was eight-nil in Putaruru's favour at half-time Rotorua reduced the lead in the second half and at one stage of the game the score was 11-16 in Rotorua's favour. Morrison opened the scoring for Rotorua from a spectacular baclc movement. Rogers, Heke, and Scott secured $ try apiece and Sutherland was responsible for converting two tries. Game at Cambridge At Cambridge, the Kahukura junior team proved too strong an opposi-
tion for the hom> representatives in a keenly contested game. Bell score; a try for the winners, and Lawrence landed a goal from ihe field whieh was the only scoring in the game. The full-tim'e score was 7-:iil in ICahukura's favour.
