WELLINGTON, Wednesday. Over a. period of years, Edgar Thomas Humphreys, examiner in the Post Office Savings 'Bank, convertad £171 to his own use. He appeared before Mr. ,E. Page, S.M., to-day and pleaded guilty. to f orging and uttering a Post Office Savings Bank withdrawal slip for £100 and nine charges of theft as a servant of the Government, of money totalling £71. He was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
