BOY SCOUTS

ROTORUA NO. 1 TROOP The usual weekly meeting of the No. 1 Troop, Rotorua Boy Scouts, was held at headquarters on Friday night, when 44 boys were present under Scoutmaster T. C. Hawkins. There are still a number of boys away on the s;ck list, it is to be hoped they will be well enough to parade next Friday night. The evenir.g was devoted to second and first class work, and to practicing for the concert. One new boy, T. Budd, was proposed for membership. The troop also had a visit from the district cubmaster in the interests of cubbing. It is hoped to start a cub pack in the near future and boys under 11 years of age, who are desirous of joining up, snould hand in their names to the scoutmaster (Mr. T. C. Hawkins). Cn duty: — The Scoutmaster; patrol on duty "Wolf,"; next for duty: "Penguin."
