DACRE CONSIDERS ENGLAND HAS GREAT CHANCE OF WINNING
-By Telog'-ajih — Copyright)
LONDO$, Monday. C. C. Darce (Gloucestershire and New Zealand) told a "Star" representative that - England - had a wonderful chance of regaining the "Ashes" from Australia. The result depended on Grimmett rather than Bradman. He believed that Hammond would be the best partner for SutclifFe, ,and thought Duckworth ought to be played. Pataudi and Voce would be helped by the fast wickets in Australia. Tate must go, as he is England's best bowler. Hendren ought to be selected, because he was always good in Australia. The remaining place should be filled by a left-hander, either Paynter or Leyland. Why Chapman was dropped Dacre is unable to understand. "If a vote were taken for captain he would head the list," commented the New Zealander.
