CHRISTCHURCH, Friday. At eight o'clock this morning, on the steamer Tees, which is undergoing overhaul at Lyttelton, Captain W. Anderson found a largq c'garette tin outside his cabin door on the bridge. It was crammed full of explosives and there was a device calculatecl to xelease the spring on the opening of the lid, but there was no explosion as the spring had been ejumsily set. The tin was wrapped up and addressed to the captain.
