VERY HEAVY FALL
IN WAIRARAPA DISTRICT MASTERTON, Friday. The heaviest fall of snow on the East Coast since 1918, occurred today. A v/ide area is affected, the snow being a foot deep on the slopes of the Maungaraki range. The foothills of the Tararua Mountains are also well covered. Snow fell in Masterton and other parts of the Wairarapa Valley, but the snow disappeared on the lowlands. Lambing has not yet started.
