ENJOYABLE PARTY

TWENTY -FIRST BIKTHDAY A most enjoyable evening was spent last Tuesday, when friends of Miss Norine Devin assembled ja.t Dixieland Hall to mark her coming of age. Mrs Devin received the large number of guests in a frock of black georgette and lace, while MiSs Devin wore white hrocaded satin trimmed with fur. The evening passed very enjoyably xn dancing, excellent music being provided by the Dixieland orehestra. The hall was delightfully decorated for the occasion, and the supper tables were dressed in shades of mauve and lemon, with shaded lights to add to their attractiveness. The cake was decorated in shades of white and pink, with 21 kewpies. Mr. W. A. McLean proposed the health of the guest of honour in a brief but happy speech and Mr. E. T. Johnson suitably responded on behalf of Mr. Devin, th'anking those present for the way in which they had drunk the toast. During the evening several novelty dances were held, streamer and confetti dances, stjatue dance, Monte Carlo and a butterfly dance. Miss L. Berghan and Mr. R. Martin won the statue dance, while the Monte Carlo winners were Miss Sanchia Wilson and Mr. M. Bell.
