-By Telegr-pti — Copyright).
CHRISTCHURCH, Wednesday. Unable to find the Wigram aerodrome in a snow-storm this afternoon, Mr. W. E. Clark, engineer of New Zealand Airways, was compelled to make a forced landing with a three seat'er Spartan machine on the Addington Trotting course. He made a perfeet landing. His passengers were Miss S. James, who has recently finished a walking tour of New Zealand, advertising New Zealand goods, and Mr. H. M. Mackay, managing director of New Zealand Airways. The party set out from Timaru in brilliant sunshine, but ran into snow at Rakaia, which continued until they were over Christchurch, when th'e snow was falling heavily and visibility was very bad. Mr. Clark was unable to see the aerodrome, although he flew low over the hangar. The snow fell for half an hour only, and the' weather then cleared.
