£5 FORGERY PLOT

A VAST ORGANISATION. Thousands of false £5 notes would have flooded Europe had the plan of a vast organisation of forgers been realised. Two members of the gang were arrested in Hanover carrying parcels containing 20 false notes. The men, who were foreigners, said they had come from England, where the 1 organisation is believed to have its headquarters, and had landed at Cher- , bourg. After doing successful "business" in Budapest and Vienna, they went to Paris, Marseilles, Venice and Zurich.
