MR. LYSNAR SAYS GREAT PYRAMID FORETOLD SLUMP. A FEW YEARS TO GO. The prophecy of the Great Pyramid was relied upon to some extent by Mr. W. D. Lysnar in an address at Gisborne under the auspices of the Stable Money League on the causes of the slump. Mr. Lysnar quoted the Great Pyramid prophecy as interpreted by Mr. D. Davidson, which he claimed was applicable to this age, and indicated that the depression of our race would begin on May 29, 1928, and in which the cause of the slump was portrayed as the natural eonsequence of man's ruthless exploitation of the products or commodities of the earth'. The prophecy also showed, he said, that a rapid decline in the world function of the British race would occur between August 23, 1931, and June 4, 1932, followed by the cessation of this world function until Daeember 5, 1935, and a rapid recovery from the latter date until September 16, 1936. May 29, 1928, was the start of the official record of unemployed in England, and one week later official figures showed that there were 22,000 unemployed in England. August 23, 193-1, was the very day on which' the British Government decided to resign. "These prophecies," said Mr. Lysnar, "certainly go to corroborate our present position, and the prophecy goes on to show that the gold standard has nothing to do with the depression."
