PRACTICAL SCHEME IN DUNEDIN FOR TRAINING

DUNEDIN, Tuosday. The one-day school for youths on farms, suggested by Mr. Anderson, principal of the South Otago High School, and approved by the Government, has been heartily taken up by the Farmers' Union. This will be the first such school in the Dominion. Farmers will he asked to permit one-day attendance weekly at Balclutha. The course will'be entirely practical, embracing stock, sums, English, farm methods, elementary economics, stock demonstrations, Wol classing and farm accounting for boys. A homecraft course for girls will be arranged. There will be no age limit. The charge will be about 1/- a week.
