YARDINGS AT WAIHOU The Farmers' Co-operative Aucti.oneering Company, Ltd., report: — At "Waihou sale on Friday a good yarding of fat cattle and dairy heifers came forward. Beef was firm at lats rates. Dairy heifers close to profit met with good competition, and satisfactory prices were realised. A iarge yarding of dairy cattle again came forward. Only the best heifers close to profit sold to brisk bidding. The pedigree Jersey heifers on account of Messrs W. Dunn and Sons, realised from Ggns to ll£gns. A pedigree Jersey heifer on behalf of Mr. G. Goodfellow realised 12gns., being purchased by Mr. P. Maloney. Mr. Goodfellow's 8 heifers averaged £8 8/-. Pigs: There was a large entry of store pigs and a small yarding of fats. Prices for all classes were on a par With late quotations. Quotations: Fat wethers 14/6, cull ewes 2/-, fat eows, heavy £4 to £4 12/-, fat heifers £3 1/- to £3 16/-, light fat heifers £1 14/- to £2 12/6, medium fat cows £2 17/- to £3 16/-, light fat cows £1 18/- to £2 10/-, killable cows £1 5/- to £1 14/-, fresh store cows 18/- to £1 10/-, bouers 5/fco 16/-, 2-year empty heifers £1 10/to £2 15/-, yearling heifers £1 8/- to £2 5/-, potter bulls £1 5/- to £1 10/-. Dairy Cattle: Extra choice Jersey heifers elose to profit £8 10/- to £10 10/-; good Jersey heifers £6 to £7 10/-, other Jerseys and Jersey cross heifers, close to profit £4 10/- to £5 10/-; backward and small heifers 30/to £3; Jersey cross and Shorthorn cows, close to profit £2 to £4, Jersey cross cows in milk £3 to £5. Pigs: Light baconers 32/- to 37/-, hea'/y porkers 25/- to 29/-, light porlcers 22/- to 24/-, stores 18/- to 19/-, slips 9/- to 14/.-, weaners 6/to 10/-. Tamworth cross sows in pig £2 14/- to £3- 2/6.
