INQUIRER. — There is no recoi'd of Sir William Fergusson having been in New Zealand. Probably the person you mean is Sir James Fergusson, who was Governor of New Zealand from June 14, 1873, to Deeember 8, 1874. He was the father of Lord Bledisloe's predecessov, General Sir Chailes Fere:usson.
