FINAL SURYEY OF N.Z. . AND AUSTRALIAN TEAMS - ;• T*
-By Telegraph — Copyright).
Rec. July 30, 12.30 a.m. LOS ANGELES, Friday. At the virtual conclusion of the hard and determined practice period, an Australian press representative, in a survey, finds that the Australian and New Zealand participants are generally in good condition. They have reasonably fair prospects of winning their share of tbe honours. The New Zealander, Elliott, has recorded good trials. Golding's and Black's chances are retarded owing to injury. They are also facing the strongest opposition. Lovelock has an excellent chance in the 1500 metres. Savidan is regarded as a remarkable distance man, and is conceded good chances in the 10,000 metres. The New Zealand rowers have the material advantage of long training on a course which is a most unusual one.
