HIGH SCHOOL GYM.

Dealing with the need for a gymnasium at the Rotorua High School, the headmaster, Mr. W. G. Harwood, stated in his monthly report to the School Board last evening: "Considerable progress has been made by the boys in gymnastics under Mr. N. P. Pitcaithly, and a point has now been reacbed where some apparatus has become necessary. This would involve the provision of mats, horse, npringboard, horizontal and parallel bars, and I would much appreciate consideration of these needs by the Board." The Board, however, consiaered that it was not in a position to supply the equipment, but a suggestion was made that an evening might be set aside at a gymnasium in town when pupils of the school could undergo training.
