LORRY DRIVER FINED Damage to county roads owing to overloading may rec sive u check if lorry owners take notice of the fate of two defendants in the Rotorua Magistrato's Cuuri yesterday morning On the information of Mr. D„ M Ford, the county inspector, Roy Clements was fined £2, with costs and solieitor's fee £1 0s 6d, for overloading on the Rotorua-Taupo maiil highway. The load of posts carried by the lorry, said the inspector, was 5 tons 3 cwt, whon the maximum load Toi a class IV road was 41 tons. A similar iine was the lot of Reuber Gordon, whose load was 5 tons foi the samv road. He also faced a charge of having only takou out an "EE" iicense, when an "F" licensc was requisite.
