INVERCARGILL, Monday. Aii exceptlonally rich strike of gold is reported from ihe Shotover River. The truth of Ihe ruraour that the strike is estimated to yield 5G00 otinces o'r nearly £30,000, is neither confirmed nor denied by the syhidicate concerned, but no secret is siiade of the fact that the find is certain to richly reward the miners for their painstaking efforts over a period of years.
