PROSPECTS FOR WOOL
(Press. Assn.—
australian buyer reports upon marketing tendencies.
-By Telegraph— Copyright).
LONDON, Monday. Mr. W. P. Devereux (London representative of the Australian Woolgrowers' Council) reports 'that the reaction which occurred during the closing days of London saies as well as the momentous happenings in Germany, have had no serious eifect in the wool centres. Bradford spinners have apparently covered their present requirements and are not disposed to follow the upward trend. Topmakers generally are adopting a firm attitude and not making concessions. Moderate business is passing at late rates in Merino tops, hut there is very little business in crossbred tops. Prices are slightly in buyers' favour. There are slightly better reports from France, but Belgian trade continues inactive.
