Rec. July 24, 5.0 p.m. LONDON, Saturday. Late last night the Free State Dail, having rejeeted the Senate's recornmendations to the Emergency Duties Bill, passed the measure without division ; and it was read over to the Governor-General, Mr. James McNeill for assent. Mr. W. T. Cosgrove stated that he did not believe the British Government would have got through its Parliament powers so far reaching as those contained in the Bill. Mr de Valera undertook that the powers would not he abused as the- Free State Goveimment was not anxious to extend the air of friction.
