BAND CONCERT
EXCELLENT PROGRAMME PROMISED FOR SUNDAY The band recital and eoncert which is taking place in the Majestic Theatre to-morrow night, promises to be one of the best of its kind staged in Rotorua for some time past. In addition to the Municipal band, the Rotorua Boy's hand will render seleetions and practises have disclosed that the boys have made remarkable progress recently. Another feature of the evening will b'e the first public appearance of St. Miehael's Maori choir under the baton of the Rev. Father, Hoogveld. Independent reports of this choir state that it is a very fine musical comhination indeed, and those who are familiar with Maori p'art singing will need no reassuring on this point. iln addition to this, prominent individual artists will contribute songs and dances. The proceeds of the eoncert are to go to the Boy's Band instrument fund so that patrons, in addition to spending a very enjoyable evening, will he contributing to a deserving cause.
