EXCHANGE OF WIVES

COMMON DIVORCE FUND. A business partnership in the village of Petrovoselo has ust resulted in an interchange of wives by the two partners. The new households and the old business connection are apparently prospering. Demeter Sandor had lived happily with his wife Verona and their two sons Istvan and Sandor for many years before h'e entered into partnership a few months ago with his neighbour, Andreas Saraga, and the latter's wife, Juliska, in the distilling of cheap brandy. Sandor worked at the still with Juliska and Saraga with Verona. The upshot was that Sandor took Juliska home, while Verona, bidding him an amicable farewell, went to the house of her new admirer, Saraga. Both households are hard up, and are contributing to a common fund which, when it has grown sufficiently, will he used to procure a douhle divorce which will regularise the situation.
